Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I'll be writing some articles for the new website www.notjusthearsay.com which is a local/regional news web-site where I am now agriculture editor, the first few articles will probably be stuff from my blog, but after that I may start doing some interviews and pieces with local market farmers, the co-op, folks on our site here who specialize in certain crops, agriculture history and so forth. Anyhow, I just wanted to let everyone know and hopefully you guys will check the site out and pass it along to others. -Alan

Make four pots of coffee part of the liquids every day, and you'll be too wired to be tired. Works for me. I spent 28 years basically on graveyard shift, and still haven't managed to get onto a day shift routine, so I run on about 5 hours sleep all the time, with a two or three times a month crash for ten hours. That's why you see me online at all hours (albeit erratically).
Get feeling good soon, both of you! ;D
Cheers Dan

I sometimes wonder where I too find the energy and time! Right now my main priority is getting the new greenhouse done and then potting up the tomatoes and starting seeds for the new season, but I also have to fill out a ton of paperwork, get the taxes done, write some articles, post on the messageboard, organize seeds, make repairs to existing greenhouse, clean out a cowbarn and spread manure, buy and spread chicken manure, buy staw, fix some tractors, and make a few speaking engagements, oh yeah, and have a long overdue meeting with Karen (plantsnoobin) which unfortunately keeps getting delayed!
But, I'm getting caught up slowly!

raw garlic is great for kicking a cold in the ass
Alan you life sounds like mine sans cleaning out a barn full of cow manure. But I have new to me fridges to clean out and a store to get back into shape before the asparagus comes in on top of taxes, seed starting, moving hoop houses, harvesting for the occasional market.
Downmyback it ain't drugs or nuthin' it's craaaazyness that keeps us farmers going.

GINGER TEA :)It will not cure what you have but it does help the body detox it away!!! Also if you will boil water first thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything then squeeze a 1/2 a lemon into 1 cup of water with or with out a little honey -this is a great detoxant!!! Belive it or not your skin may be the answer to a better day(largest organ on the body and often neglected) good old sea salt all over skin rub, rub in circles twards your heart with sea salt on a luffa and then rinse off really well and this stimultates the circulation, detoxes, gets dead and unhealthy grime and skin off and helps your immune system work better. Now to go check you new web site out, thanks so much for helping us all learn!!! Congrats!!
