I am not a : "who ever hass the most toys when he dies, wins" sorta person. I got started growing pet trees as my walking decreased. It was a way to bring the woods home with me.
I AM however a nosey parker and do like to see what other people do, and always suprised when they find something I would have never thunk of.
LRW over on SCM-Froup made my day today. she posted pictures of a euphorbia that she wants to train as bonsai.
My my my.

There are better cultivars for pot training. Sakalin Spruce is about the best short needle spruce. Black Mullberry for its type.
I have seen fushia and Jasmine pot trained trees.

You gotta admire the idea though, Euphorbia are pretty cool as plants go. I am not so sure how dwarfing will go, but, who knows.

I try to stay away from fully tender trees, living in central NH. A picture on the old IBC gallery of a TX ebony did tease me into seeking out some seed. I's only on year two, but these fellows look pretty good even as saplings.
