I love basils, though I didn't grow any last year. I think I have ordered seeds for this year though, will be sowing them before long. Do you have them self seed in your zone? I am in southern IN, but have had them come up on their own before.

Yes they will self seed......during the summer, if ya get them started now. Another tip. If ya got germination problems with these, use the wet paper towel, zip lock bag, on top of fridge trick.

Awwwwww, isn't she pretty!! I planted some on Saturday. Several pots of Genovese. Later on in the week, I think I'll put in some Purple Basil and some Sweet. Can never have enough!!

I haven't even got started on my herbs here yet and definetly need to do so, we sale a lot of basil in the summertime and grow four or five varieties so everyone can pick and choose or make a mix. Nice picture!

;DThanks Clark.....Last year was a Basil Boom....I still have some shakers filled with them on the spice shelf.....might grow less this time around, but stll like to put it in pocket, take it to work.....aaahh That Smell!!!!
