sorry about that, last time I tried to post pics it worked. Guess I forgot how I did it. The pics are of peaches, apples, serviceberry, aronia and some miscellaneous flowers.

Thanks for fixing that Greengrass! I did everything the same as last time I posted, I think, don't know why it didn't work. Anyway, there are more flower pics on the picasa web album if anyone would like to look at them. The bird is an indigo bunting. Usually you will see them around here if you are driving along a country road that is pretty deeply wooded. You almost never see them out in the open, or in town. We live on 2 acres 2 miles from the center of our tiny little town, and there are woods behind our place. Last year was the first time that they showed up that close to our house. Now there are two that eat from the nyjer feeder, and they will often be there when the goldfinches are eating too. Makes a pretty picture to see the blues and yellows together. Last couple of years I have been planting trees and shrubs for shade and wildlife and it is starting to pay off. I am mowing 2 acres and would like to reducde that to just about no mowing. Thanks again.

We had our first gallon of ripe strawberries yesterday! Sadly, the flavour isn't what I hope it will be. With all the cool, wet weather we have had I am hoping it was just the weather that affected the flavour. They still beat anything you can buy at the store. I am always amazed to see people eating those huge, crunchy, tasteless strawberries and say they like them. They have obviously never had a real strawberry. Sad.
