I have lunaria seeds is anyone wants any. It's Lunaria annua, also called honesty, money plant, or silver dollars. The flowers are purple. The plant name says annua, but they are really a biennial. No flowers first year, lots and lots the next. Here's what the seed pod looks like, to jog your memory. They're used a lot in dried arrangements.botany.cs.tamu.edu/FLORA/tfp/lunaria7.jpg

Blue, I will let you know when the seeds are ready to fall to the ground. Some are already in the green pod stage.

BLRH, you can toss around some seeds now. I just throw them on the ground. You don't want TOO many coming up. I'll bring you some extra seed anyway.

I see according to one of the links that Lav supplied, that Lunaria is somewhat invasive. I will find a place that needs some crowding since it apparently likes sandy soil and poor ground. How many acres do you think it will spread across from that little package of seed you sent us??? LOL

Oh that pack can cover 100 acres. Usually enough seeds fall to the ground when you collect the heads. My BF ran several over with the riding mower, it didn't seem to hurt them much. lol
