In around my orchard trees I have my gourd vines. Between the trees I have a piece of fence. It has hogwire between two Tee Posts. I grow the gourds in the same spot as my trees and train them as they grow. To grow on the fence. The deer don't bother the trees or gourds. And off the ground I can mow around the trees and under the fence.
