I am a new member and was asked to post a little about myself to inform others of my interests likes and such.
Here it is folks. I live in rural Minnesota, Southern part. The growing season is short here and like most on here it seems as tho growing fun and different foods are a passion. I am somewhere between just getting started and really good gardener. It's a tough place to be sometimes.
Some personal info. I am married and have a beautiful daughter and a wonderful husband that goes along with all my crazy gardening ideas. He ever bought me a rear mount tiller to the John Deere tractor we have for mothers day this past May.
Great guy if you ask me. Guess I am not the flower kinda gal.
I love growing them but getting them from a store is just not the same as a tractor parts. Crazy huh.
Hope to get to know all of you as well. Thanks for the great site and happy gardening everyone.

Welcome Peapod, I hope you will enjoy our group, and as we have told others, if you ever need seeds (especially tomatoes) feel free to ask. Cheers, Val and Dan (grungy and grunt)
Ps there is no conceit Michel's family - he's got it all. LOL

Yeah Michel... you may be handsome.. i'll give ya that.. but i'm nicer. ;D Which is no small feat in itself considering all the extremely nice people we have here. And you're one heck of a nice guy too.. i'll give ya that. You keep rubbing in the fact that i got flooded out this year.. but wait till next year.. I'll be harvesting tons of stuff again. See Peapod... i told ya you'd like my friends over here. They're all really nice people like Mike and Val and Dan and Alan.. well the list goes on and on. Just make yourself at home and be part of the family. At least over here we talk about gardening stuff.. not like over at Idig where it's all just political anymore. Dave

Okay Folks, thanks for the wonderful welcome. Glad my friend American Gardner sent this site to me to check out.
I know I will learn tons. I do every day. I will let you know that I do have a really wry sense of humor and never want to be malicious or mean. Just my way of kidding around.
I will go to the trading seed place and list some of what I have. I just got my hands on some fun seeds. Flor de Mayo semi Pole OOOHHH yum.
See you in the seed department.

Hey Dave, I got flooded too...so I don't talk to anybody about my corn harvest That way I look better!! I'll bow in front of your ''niceness'' my dear but will we keep licking each other for months? There is a lot of ''I'll mail you this or that '' outside the trade post, in fact, I don't think I ever got or sent something from there. It is pretty relaxed here, and we are all very bad accountants of what we send....
