We harvested a lot of castings this week. I think something like 27 five gallon buckets from three bins, and yesterday he harvested like 10 more or some from the other bins. It smells funny, but it makes the soil pretty.

Alan how much are you getting for a 5 gallon bucket full. I hear that is the best soil improvement tool of all.

Sorry I missed this topic before.
We raise a lot of worms using rotten sawdust as a "base" for the worms and adding lots of rotting produce, coffe grounds, and an occasional round of chicken feed "crumbles", each of our bins is about 30-40 gallons (the old bins), the new ones are five gallon bucketts so about every 6 months I can count on a few thousand gallons of new material to add to our beds.
