Updates to follow on some things i've recently learned about the hardiness of the red worm, their coccons, lifecycle, feeding habbits, do's and dont's and more. Check it out at: homegrowngoodness.blogspot.com

Alan, there is an 's' missing in goodness. I have found a couple of interesting worm sites-www.jetcompost.com/burrow and www.wormpower.net. Worm power has a video clip of their operation, tons of compost. They are a dairy farm worm farm combo. They hot compost the cow manure first, seems like a waste of energy to me, but then on the scale they are doing, it isn't like it's a lot of actual physical labor. Everything is mechanized. I am spreading out my worms here and there. brought some inside on shelves in my laundry room, some in the garage under rabbits, and some in the unheated greenhouse. I hate to see the poor little things cold. I still want to get a couple or five more pounds from you sometime.

Thanks for the spelling corrections Karen, I didn't even notice that. I'll check out that link in just a bit. Let me know when you need the worms, it looks like I have a huge bumper crop on right now and the bins are absolutely full.
