After havesting a few thousand worms during the snap of warm weather last week and the week before I though maybee I had overdone one bin in particular (which would be ok because I need to clean it out and start over soon anyhow) however, yesterday when I was doing some work in the worm house I noticed a massive hatching had happened at some point and there were thousands of babbies filling the bin!!!! I think it may have happened because the herd couldn't deal with the amount I was feeding them without some help and because the weather warmed up, either way I am happy!!!! Lots of worms to sale and lots of great compost to use!!!!!

How much for your worms? I just need enough for kitchen composting.

Howdy Winancy, would you need like a pound? How many folk do you have an your family? That will help determine what you need, i've never sold in bulk, however I may be able to, let me do some research if nothing else I'll give you the link to where I got mine at: www.happydranch.com/I hope this helps! -Alan

Hey! I've got a question for you! My guys dumped their fishing worms into our compost pile at the end of the fishing season last year. About a week ago they went to find some and there were none in the pile at all. The pile is low because we are starting our garden, it has been down in the high 30s at points over the last couple weeks. Any ideas?

Have you posted pictures of your worm bins and worm house somewhere?

Welcome Tina. There are pics of Alan's set up on his blog, though his worm house is now converted to poultry, and a bigger greenhouse is now the worm area. Do you have worms or are you just getting started? I highly recommend everyone vermicompost, it really does make the best compost imaginable.
