I would absolutely recommend Kristl Walek's Gardens North. One and a half person operation, extremely knowledgeable and generous - she just sent me seed of Trillium undulatum free of charge, carefully moist packed as they need to be sown fresh. Kristl writes a regular piece on the Scottish Rock Garden Club Forum, here www.srgc.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=1699.0Loads of fascinating stuff, particularly on the wild flora around Ottawa....

I have ordered from her many times, and always get fast turnaround, even from Canada. I have to pay for a stupid phyto certificate every time, thanks to my idiot government. But I am still happy to order seeds from her. Many things that you just can't get anywhere else, and she does care about properly packaging the seeds. If they are seeds that can't survive being dried out, she moist packs them as they should be. And I also love the Scottish Rock Garden Club, even though I am not a member.
