[Seemed like this organization fit better under this heading than the Gardener's Info heading, but (Alan) feel free to move it...] " GRAIN is an international non-governmental organisation which promotes the sustainable management and use of agricultural biodiversity based on people's control over genetic resources and local knowledge. " Filled with articles on the subject... and in line with the way of thinking we stand behind. www.grain.org/front/

Johno, it's funny we decided to post on this at the same moment. I just mentioned it in the Iraqi seed discussion.
I've been reading GRAIN for some years now. They are a well funded organization, who's purpose is to interpret international treaties relating to agriculture. They have do it from a very left standpoint, and promote farmers rights. Their articles are often republished in Seed Savers Exchange publications.

Well, I stand just a little to the left and support farmers' rights myself.
It is odd how often idea and/or behavior patterns happen in multiples.
I hope to see many more of us take an interest in grains in the near future!

I think it is coming Johno, so many of us are starting to realize just how important this bio-diversity and nutrition is to our self sustainability and how much it really does mean to our health, I think many of us will take up growing multiple grain varieties in the coming years, I know I will be!
I won't say much yet but we do have a pretty cool anouncement regarding Tim Peters coming around the first of the year!
