This coming year will be a better gardening year for me. I've already got 2 raised beds built...because I recycled some materials from work and Jenn hooked me up with one of those 6ft diameter aluminum pyramid beds with the sprinkler for christmas. Also one of those rotary salsa chopper dealies..
I also have kinda made plans with my mom and grandma as too who is going to grow what so we are more organized as a family.

That's awesome Jim! I think I'm making progress too, certainly in the area of fertility via the worm composting of several tons of cow manure and chicken manure along with Bokashi composting and Terra Preta/bio-char. This is the first year I've had all my fields plotted out and planned down to a T. using something akin to Bio-Intensive methods along with a water catchment system consisting of 25, 50 gallon barrels hooked up to 1 and 1/2 " fire hose and 4 catchment tanks that hold 300 gallons, a raised bed system and so forth. I've also got just about all the seed I'll need minus sweet corn and lettuce and everything is plowed or cover cropped and ready to go! I think 2009 is going to be a good one!

Sounds like you've been busy...good job.
For me this year is it's all about an organized approach. With baby #2 coming end of may/early june..... I'm going to be tight on time during planting season. I need to have beds ready and waiting for planting.
I need to send you that green dwarf seed too. I keep forgetting.lol. I'll find it and get it out in the mail.

Sounds good to me Jim.
I've even went so far as to make a bunch of different forms for evaluating crops and crosses and a small planting calendar to carry with me along with a huge one for my office and Kim and I were talking about making a big chalk board.
