Where has SammyQC been? I know she got that new job, but has anyone heard from her recently? If you talk to her, or correspond, let her know she should drop by.
Who else is missing?

Hi all,
I'm still alive. Just had a bad summer and couldn't come here read or post.
Let's see, gout, chronic tenditis in my left shoulder, high blood pressure (still not under control), a cough since October, physical therapy for my neck and left elbow, a lovely 3 inch scar on my forehead which required 9 stiches and my doctor I've been seeing for over 25 years retired the end of December. He's only 62, but decided to go to Montana and work on a reservation 9 months a year.
Thanks for listening. Now back to your regularly scheduled gardening.

Man, Pugs... and I thought driving cross country this summer was a trial!
How'd you end up with the tendinitis in your shoulder? gardening? I dislocated my right shoulder and did some rotator cuff damage about 2 years ago, and it still bothers me,especially when the weather gets damp. Luckily, that doesn't happen here too much.
How's your little dog, too?

Sammy came 2 nights in a row, I tried to join her in chat but I had an empty screen. I finaly could get in after many trials, but as I got in she left... I pm her a big hello, she told me she enjoyed the ''horse life '' immensely and that gardening would be on the backburner because of her new passion. But she was very nice and she gave me shit. Horse shit Now that's a good girl!!!

Pugs, sorry to hear about your trouble. I have been having some BP issues myself, medicine is not helping. Of course, if I lost 50 lbs, but that isn't going to happen anytime soon. Anyway, some BP meds can cause the chronic cough, just a thought.

Karen - that's a good point. I'd forgotten that that happened to my Mom. So many of those kinds of meds have little, sneaky side effects. Stuff you would never connect with the meds unless you read the fine print...

Hi Pugs, how did the puppy raising turn out. Have you any pictures of when they were slightly older?

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. My doc was worried the it would be rotor cuff. Glad it wasn't. We have no idea why I have the problems with it I do. The other shoulder is starting to be a problem too. I think I'm going to have to hire having the garden tilled this year. Also, I'm finding I have to keep my computer time down to a minimum.
I'll talk with my doc about the cough and the BP meds. I'm sure if I could lose another 30 lbs or so, I'd be doing better.
The pups - no, I didn't get any later pictures. I'm going to get a camera before the next litter. Reea should come into heat in the next few months. The pups went to good homes. Unforunately one of them found a 1 foot place where she could dig a hole under the fence and drowned in the neighbor's swimming pool. The owners were devistated; the pup was their 11 year old son's reward for very good behavoir and keeping up on his chores. She had been house broken and was learning sit, stay, etc. in the 3 weeks they had her. I sold them the last pup at a reduced amount. Bad things do happen to good people.

Yay Pugs is back!
I feel you on the shoulder pain. My left one has been giving me hell for the last few weeks. I think mine is arthritis from a collar bone fracture sustained when I was hit by a car when I was 7. I've found that if I make sure not to roll over on that side, I do a lot better. I'm sleeping with a couch cushion on my left to keep me from turning at night.
I also have BP problems but use dandelion and hawthorn to keep it down to normal levels. Both were tips from fellow gardeners on these forums. I don't think they mix well with prescription meds, though.
I hope you get everything straightened out with your health and keep posting.

I do still check in, every once in a while, but as Michel mentioned, I've got new priorities. Thanks for thinking of me, though. That was a boost!! The new job is working out great, I am riding a lot again, and planning to buy a horse next year. Right now I've got an older retrained ex racehorse-turned show horse-now retired needing exercise and an imported Holland jumper pony to ride, who are both a lot of fun. I will still garden, it just won't be my main focus anymore. And it's hard to keep up with some of the super informed here sometimes. A tad out of my league. But I'm still here!!
