By the name of Jim Culpeper (Yeah, like the culpeper minute men )
Anyhow, Mr. Culpeper had found our message board and I suppose my blog and was interested in speaking to me about corn in particular, our conversations mostly centered on the history of domestication and improvement of corn as well as some of the old corn public breeders. We discussed a lot about flint and dent corn as well as sweet corn, the Native Americans and the Spanish. John seems like a vault of valuable information and I look forward to speaking to him some more in the future.
He gave me a wealth of things to look up online, many of which I will probably share here with everyone shortly as the time allows, it was a really nice conversation!
Edited: I accidentally named this fellow as John when it is in fact Jim

I kinda hope so, but we will have to see, he said he wasn't very computer literate, but perhaps he will join at some point soon. I certainly hope so as he seems like a valuable source of information.
