Does anyone know if these are the same squash? I saw one post somewhere on the internet last year that suggested they were the same but I don't know if that was fact or speculation.
Has anyone grown either one?
I grew out some Chersonskaya a couple of years ago and every vine had different looking fruit so I'm not sure what happened. It was apparently introduced as a hybrid in the 1980s in eastern Europe but had allegedly been stabilized through the years. It is supposed to be a very sweet maxima but none fo the fruit were very sweet. Someone in Minnesota was supposed to be growing it and loved it.

I have not grown them, but they are not same. 'Krupnoplodnaya 1' (Means 'Large-fruited 1') - grey rind, sometimes with pink spots, 12-25 kg. 'Chersonskaya' - grey rind, 3-6 kg. - better tasting than 'Krupnoplodnaya 1'
