Welcome my friends to Homegrown Goodness, normally I would welcome everyone individually but have been behind lately due to work here on the farm! We are glad to have you here and hope you enjoy it!

welcome to our new syrian friend. It 's nice to have here at last Damien. I hope you enjoy...
For those of you living in paradise, like our Southern friends, Damien is sending me a collection of local seeds, so you'll inherit it, my climate not permitting to grow them...

Holy smokes - I'm so glad I saw this thread... I have been remiss in my welcoming duties... I have what I think is a good excuse, but STILL...
So... WELCOME all you new members! So glad we're getting so many great people here on the board. Jump in anywhere and start posting... we're not one of those sites where the old growth smacks down the newbie comments, and no one will admonish you to "do a search first". If info was good the first time, there's no reason why a new thread can't be started, to get the good info again! Dig around in the old threads, though, because there are so many good, yet relatively obscure, topics, and you may find something you've never encountered before. And if you're well versed in a subject, let us know! Just because we're all on this site doesn't mean we know all the ins and outs of all agriculture. We love knowing that there is a new go-to person from whom to glean info.
One of the best ways to let everyone know you is to start a thread in the "A Little About Yourself" section... tell us how you grow things, what you like to grow, and maybe some other stuff you think is pertinent (or impertinent, as the case may be... we like impertinent, generally! ;D)
Welcome again, everyone!

I just found this because lavendulagirl's post was on the 10 newest. Otherwise, as a new member, I would have never known that I should go to a special thread to be welcomed. That's OK, because I did not need. really, to be welcomed. For the moment, I am happy just to "poke around" and see what's going on here. And, it does take a LOT of "poking around", because this old man is finding this site just a bit hard to navigate! Still hoping to "settle in", however, as I have done so many times in this life.

Welcome potagere! I find, like you, that the north american forums are not as user friendly than the french ones. In your country the graphics and visual aspects are developed to a point they might never be here, or it will take time. And they are a great part of it. Don't forget France was the first country to embrace the new computer age, very very long before the rest of the world. Ubisoft is the best game company in the world and there was the minitel when we were still using the old WW II phones But apart from that, the forum is pretty simple if visually dry. It works by family or groups of veggies or topics... You'll find your way...

Welcome Potagere. Hoping you will find us interesting enough to come here often. Also for all our new french speaking amis, if you find it easier to write in french, please do so. You may be answered in english, but as Michel has volunteered to translate I am sure we can work through the language barrier. For myself, I can read much more french than I am comfortable trying to write or speak it. So, please, post often, in whichever language you feel comfortable with. Cheers, Val
