That link oversimplifys a lot ...I have found on rare occasions naturally occuring hybrids of ryes, wheats, and their relatives. ....most are very highly sterile in the 1st generation, and most will move genetically back toward one parent specie or another, gaining fertility usually in that process. It is not a manmade grain, merely been perfected into a distinct grain by man. ..that is my educated opinion
