Hi all,
A coworker grew Tamina for me last year, but she didn't like the taste much. She would like a tomato with a beefsteak or Early Girl flavor, red and about an 8 oz size.
Since she is growing them in isolation and only has room for 2 plants, I'd like to have her grow something she would like the taste of and I could get some pure seed from them. I'm think a PL type would be nice, since there would be little to no chance of crossing.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Pugs

Wisconsin 55 or Thessaloniki, though neither are potato leaf. Both have good flavour, with the latter more tart than sweet.

I second the Wisconsin 55, I did not grow the other...W55 fits that bill perfectly, and has a long production period. It was a bit late here, but made up for it with quantity and taste...

Thanks!
The W55 is one seed I don't have. I'll have to see if I can get it in a trade from some one.
I'll be updating my trade list tomorrow.

Hey Martin,
I didn't know I'd need it! I was hoping someone would tell me one I already had would work.
I'll get my list to you as well.
And thanks.

Thanks kctomato! I'll keep that one in mind. Maybe she'll get it next year.
Is Super Sioux the same as Sioux?

Royal Hillbilly will churn out 12 ox+ pink beefsteaks all season long, and Arkansas Traveler or Super Sioux for Heirlooms or Carnival, Supersonic or Jet Star if you go hybrids.

I haven't grown WI55 yet, but I love Jet Star, it tastes great and is pretty early also. JMO, Tom
