I raise a few caterpillars in the house, and when they don't emerge by falls end, I don't want to just get rid of them. So, I put the aquarium in an out of the way spot to see if they are still alive. Well, guess who decides to make an appearance yesterday? I fell terrible about it, but the same thing happened last year and I tried a hummingbird feeder to no avail. Surprising just how hard it is a try to get a butterfly to eat. It warmed up to about 50 F yesterday, so I thought I would take him out and let him fly free for a little while at least, but his wing was a bit deformed and he didn't take off so I brought him back into the house. Sadly he didn't make it long.
