I am wondering if it is possible to cross actinidia chinensis and either kolomitka or arguta.
The last two are compatible, I was told, but sure would like to somewhat see a larger berry. I can't find any info on this. I am sure somebody thaught of it before...

I have hardy kiwi Issai and A.melandra (this one grown from seeds) but haven't try any cross pollinations as my A Melandra is not producing any flower yet (plus both of them are small fruit type)... It will be great to experiment and see what come out of it. Are you planning to experiment ?

I would have to grow them first, my argutas and kolomitkas are 300 km away now, at my dad's, but I was just wondering if it was possible. If so, I would sure plan it...

Seems, yes: www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&q=Actinidia+chinensis+Kolomikta+interspecific+hybridsThere are few kolomikta x arguta varieties. Maybe that cross is easier than x chinensis

Mike, I found this webpage :http://thefruitblog.blogspot.com/2008/08/kiwis-on-extremes.html it is not the one I wish to find but here it said: Ken's Red is a cross of A. Arguta X A.Melandra... I think your A. Kolomikta can be cross with A. Arguta. I got some Golden Kiwi seeds but to be honest this one need green house...

I know that arguta and kolomitka can be crossed, I use one to pollinise the other, but it is the sinensis that interest me. I know it needs a greenhouse, the idea would be to cross them, then probly back-cros to get a bigger fruit not needing the greenhouse...

Hi Mike, I found this short article (by the Japanese), and yes you can cross the mini and the maxi...:http://rms1.agsearch.agropedia.affrc.go.jp/contents/JASI/pdf/PREF/56-0112.pdf
I read it some years ago in a forum, one of the person experiment with it (Hayward X hardy kiwi) and did grow out some vine and the Hybrid kiwi was blooming... unfortunately I can't find the forum...
