So, it has recently been pointed out to me that I have exceedingly neglectful in not posting my blog details to this forum... (Thanks, Val!)
mikro2nd.net/blog/planb/ ("Plan Be") is my attempt to blog (in my usual, half-arsed fashion) about the week-by-week goings on at our somewhat-self-sufficient smallholding in the southern parts of South Africa. The name "Plan Be" is supposed to evoke slightly Zen ideas of "just be..." along with the idea the we have a "Plan B" for climate change, and all the illness of the crapitalist society. (The name predates the marketing of a certain drug by a similar name by several years. I can't be bothered to think of something new.)
The blog software and look&feel sucks (in my Not So Humble Opinion) and I've been wanting to fix that for over a year, now, but, somehow, haven't found the time/energy. (Any takers?)
You might also like to take a look at our farm website mikro2nd.net/farm/ "Braamekraal Farm" -- though it is muchly incomplete, many links broken, it is an ever-evolving attempt to describe how we got to where we are, who we are, why we're here, and some of the design decisions (good and bad) that got us into the predicament we're in. (Generally a good predicament!) Lately I'm using the farm site more and more to record my haphazard gardening and plant-breeding efforts.
I'd love to get feedback on what parts of the website people find most interesting but that need fleshing out! (Google stats only get me as far as "Chookhouse plans" )
