I was reading a thread over on GW about this, and was wondering if anyone here has tried it? Does it make a difference in the end? Sounds like a neat idea, but when you plant out in the garden you plant deep anyway (if you do) so it would seem pointless? Or would you get a better stronger root system from the tough thick stem?
Something to think about anyway, and maybe to experiment with this spring.

Um ... I Googled "supercropping" and all that came up was tips on growing marijuana.
Is that what the GW thread was about?

LOL....Apparently that's where the idea comes from, but someone was 'supercropping' their tomatoes. Makes the stem grow much thicker and stronger. I guess more useful if you are growing hydroponically, but I was just curious. It's on GW under the tomato forum, can't remember the title of the thread, but it was interesting.
(According to the adds from Google, they think it is 'herbal' as well.)

Whew ... OK, will look into it a little more. Googling "supercropping tomatoes" produces significantly different results ... ;D
