Yes, I grew it from seed from Prairie Moon Nursery a couple of years ago after seeing it growing at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Would you believe they have it growing as a ground cover in front of the 'Monsanto' building? My daughter and I went on a trip with the Indiana Native Plant and Wildflower Society. We had special VIP treatment, got to go to some of the behind the scenes places, and part of that was the 'Monsanto' building. That is actually what they call it. Not the name on the building, but that is what it is. Monsanto sponsors trips to the rainforest to try to find new species, and species that may have pharmaceutical uses. Anyway, as we were walking up to the building I said to my daughter, 'I smell cilantro' It was the grass. It does look really nice as a large scale ground cover. It does take a little while to bulk up from seed, and you won't be impressed with it the first year, maybe not even the second year, but it should be pretty nice by the third year. I am going to divide one or two of my larger plants soon if I don't forget. Just make sure you like the smell of cilantro if you are going to plant it close to an area you will be near.

Thanks Karen.
I am considering its use for landscaping and was thinking of using it as part of a lawn alternative in a sunny area. Thanks for reminding me about the cilantro smell (I like it but I don't know if everyone else does...)
