Weeping cherry trees

I've always wanted one of these, so fiance surprised me with two huge ones yesterday (I am not even going to ask what he paid for them)!
Anyhoo, does anyone else grow these and if so, anything special I need to know besides what I've read? One thing I wondered is if I can prune them into certain shapes while still letting them be "weepy." One is pink and one is white.

We have one that is just coming into bloom now, a dark pink one. Don't remember the name though. They can go through a kind of awkward stage while they are still pretty small but once the limbs grow a bit they will hang down more gracefully. They only thing to watch for is a few branches will grow from below the graft, but if you twist them off while they are small they aren't much trouble. They really do make a pretty picture in the spring.
