Also known as Sichuan Pepper. I'd like to try to grow these. I have a few seed but they have been irradiated. Think they will grow? Anyone with some experience?

Irradiated for food safety? I have no clue. On the other hand, Sweet Dumpling was created by irradiating a delicata squash....

Yep, for safety. It's an asian spice that was banned for years due to citrus canker. In 2005 the ban was lifted on the condition that the seeds be irradiated to kill the virus/bacteria. Although it was easily come by in California, it's not so easy to get it here making it to the "wish list". Then yesterday it occurred to me that maybe I could grow out some of the seeds from my last package of the stuff? Guess I'll just have to give it a shot and see what comes up?!?
