It seems that in my frenzied state to rid my plants and my house of the moldy puter pots, I made the mistake of watering the transplants with a 10-52-10 solution for happy transplanting and promotion of good roots.. Problem is, I forgot that I had used the same solution just a few days before when I had originally transplanted to the paper pots.. Ow-ow-owie....I've burned some leaves and not only that, I've lost a couple of plants.. Do you think they will adjust or just die??? Some of these varieties were ones that i only had 3 or 4 seed for... Stooopid stooopid stooopid

When that happens, you should flush them with plain water to wash out the excess salts. I assume they wilted? It's the same principle as pouring salt on a slug... moisture is driven away. The bad thing is that they will then be overwatered, but they have evolved to handle that better than being salted...

Johno, I did that last night with the worst of them figuring that it might flush them. Thanks for your suggestion. None look any worse today so that's encouraging.

Best of luck Blue! I sure do hope that the ones you don't have replacement seeds for make it at the least! I hate when I get so busy, in mind or body that I make dumb mistakes so I know how you feel. I'm gonna send all the good growing wishes I can up your way in hopes that you don't lose anymore.
