I bought Alan an OP tomato that he didn't have yet

Alan,

I grew German Queen a couple of times a few years ago ... bought them as transplants from big box stores ... I think they came from Bonnie Plant Farm. My experience was the same as yours ... lots of beautiful potato leaf foliage and a couple of mediocre tasting, large pink tomatoes. Pffffft.

I raised a tomato this year that sounded alot like that but the taste of this tomato was about what you get from store bought tomato.I guess i should have given it another chance with this being a terrible year but after it came down with early blight i yanked it out of the ground and sent all of my remaining seeds to someone else lol.
