Does anyone know of a seed source for this kale? It's a marrow stem type that appears to be used in the UK primarily as animal feed.

I do not know about this specific one, but there is about a maximum of 100 or so marrowstem cultivars in the various genebanks, and there might be ''doubling'' ( sorry, I mean repeat accessions but do not know te english word for it ).
One of the problems dairy farmers end up with when going out of the usual animal feed ( forage, soya, corn) is taste in the milk. even in organic coops, they will refuse milk with a different taste.
Mind you, this special taste ( wherever it comes from) is God's gift to a farmer using its milk to produce cheese at the farm, like it is done a lot in Quebec, THE avant-garde place for ''terroir cheese'' ,in North America ( they are now producing many many original signature cheeses that over sell the imported highly touted french ones).
The american genebank is the best for marowstem kale.

Castanea: Keep checking on them every year. It may take a while, but anything they list eventually comes up for grabs.
