And aren't they just wonderful things? I still use them for the Very Important Recipes. And I have a box started of Index cards to keep info on the Veggie Varieties that are also near and dear to my heart.
Puters are wonderful things, but most people don't back up files the way they should (myself included) and although saving something on paper takes longer, I still run for the recipe box before I look for recipes on the internet.

I use index cards for keeping track of seed planting. I record the source of the seed, date sown, germination date, transplant date, planting notes and (try) to record the first bloom. With perennials this can be more than 2 years from seeding to bloom, or with some even longer. So, I don't always keep track like I should, but the index cards really do help.
