On an English forum at the moment they are raving reviews about some Serbian Pole beans someone had and gave a few to his friends, apparently they crop with an immense crop of beans and are very tender and succulent-very good flavor, and are getting rave reviews all over the place, I am trying to negotiate for a few of these seeds later on when this crop is harvested. Has anyone here ever heard of or grown Serbian Pole beens before. ??

I'll do better than that Bunkie, come harvest time, remind me and I will add you to my list of people who want. Also there will be pictures coming in the near future of plants, pods and beans.

I have never heard of them before now, but they seem to be grabbing the attention of all those that have grown them over here, so they must be good.

12-15 ft tall plants fairly loaded to the top with flattish pods about 1/2 -3/4" wide, x 6" long x 1/2 thick with 7- 9 or more beans. We are growing them out for seed and dried beans but looks like they could be a winner if picked earlier. Definitely one I would use for dilled beans.

I've finally managed to get caught up to where I can manage to get some photos taken, and have just uploaded the bean photos to picasaweb.google.ca/danvaltrial/BEANS#. Serbian pole beans are in the lineup there.
