In a local Indian run shop, they had some very large melons of the elongated type similar to the Honeydew melon and basicly the same colour but with a netted skin, and much longer in shape, the label said Iranian melons- but I have never seen anything like them before, anyone know what ype they might be ??
I might even buy one and save the seed from it, but they are quite expensive around £5.50 each, but they looked very good.

i don't know what the name would be michael, but i would be interested in a few seeds to try next year, the reason being cause of our experiments with the Iraq Tomato Nineveh this year. i didn't think it would do too well cause of our cold, coming from Iraq, i expected it would need warmth, like dessert, but it was a wonder here this year! it loaded up with nice sized medium bright red fruit no matter the cold or heat, early, and put on a second flush! nice surprize. i wonder if the Iran melon would like it here???! ;D
