Just wanted to let the good folks here know about a revolutionary methodology of agriculture from Italy called homeodynamics, which has been successfully employed in the development of new traits in plants, in addition to growing the finest food possible. It has for instance been used by a farmer in Peru to develop a cultivar of Kamut that is gluten free, and rye that has 300+ grains per stem (usually only has 80 grains). Sugar beets have been grown with 28% sugar (usually 15-20%) and olives with 30% oil (usually 15-20%). The information has literally blown my mind and completely changed the way I grow. There's some basic info available on this page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeodynamic_agricultureSome of the homeodynamic books have been translated into english but there are more coming, their book on seed breeding is in it's final stages of translation and should be available in the next few months. If you are interested in the english books and videos talk to Mark at considera.org

that's very interesting ceeray. i'd definitely like to read more about it. it appears that some of the things go along with other methods i've heard about. there must be a connection with all methods, some way, some how.

You must mean the 13 Holy Days, which according to Steiner are the 13 days (December 24th-January 5th) when plants receive info from the cosmos that helps them prepare for the coming year. If you've ever heard the song "12 days of Christmas" then you are already familiar with them, in the symbolism that is hidden in the song. Homeodynamics is based on traditional European agricultural techniques and wisdom but it is not for everyone since it has a spiritual component as it's focus. The homeodynamic farmer must be ready to approach the garden with the utmost reverence, in order to connect with the earth and the cosmos, to connect with those beings that have a hand in the evolution of plants (and animals) so they ultimately may produce food most suited for man's spiritual development. The farmer in this system is more like a healer, who is able, through the use of medicines and ultimately meditation, to treat the farm as a singular living, breathing organism, bringing it into balance, which relieves it of pests and disease. For those who have any questions I am happy to help!
