John: Technically, I don't think Coastal Pride Orange can be classed as a dwarf (I have it listed as indeterminate), but aside from the spacing of the branches, it likely meets the criteria. And it has a very competitive taste. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. BTW your seeds should get out of here tomorrow. Cheers Dan

Between the seeds I got from flower power and LISP I'll have dwarf tomato jungle at my house this year. lol.
I'm sending seed from LISP and some of Alan's varieties with my grandma whe she goes back "home" to poland to visit. The've never seen some of these kinds of treats. Maybe before she goes I'll organize a massive collection of seeds to send with her.

Bill or anyone else interested in Dwarfs, have any of you accessed the ARS GRIN system to see if there was any germplasm for these types stored away there? If not let me know and I'll do a search and request for things that otherwise may not be available. I know a lot of people don't think the ARS GRIN system should be used like this, but the plain and simple truth is the GRIN system doesn't do a very good job of preserving the germplasm of the world and if we don't liberate what is there and not PVP'd for our own use some big bio-tech company will and they will PVP it if they find it useful, so it is my goal to remove as many usefull acessions as I can over the next couple of years and get them out and circulating amongst interested parties. I whole heartly agree with ya Alan.. If i can be of any help to any of ya.. i have a couple dwarf types where i have surplus seeds from my upcoming 2008 tomato trials. I got the following leftovers if anyone wants some. Dwarf Champion Golden Dwarf Champion Dwarf Stone Scoresby Dwarf Victorian Dwarf Dwarf Red Dwarf Gem Dwarf Moneymaker Epoch Dwarf Victorian Dwarf No. 1 and a couple really really small tomato plant types.. Extreme Bush, Pygmee, Low Bush & another Pygmy. The last pygmy i grew last year.. had 7 plants, none of which ever made it over 8 inches tall, they had some tomatoes starting on em.. then they all got wiped out by the drought. Then either the extreme bush or low bush.. can't recall which one it was now.. but it was almost identical to Hardins Minature except with yellow fruit. If anyone wants any of these, you're welcome to em... just put em to good use. Dave
