Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, pugs, and to everyone else. As empty-nesters, we are not cooking today! We're going to my parents' house to spend time with family and sleep off tryptophans.

Tappy Hanksgiving! umm... HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I'm thankful for you people as well. You've pulled me through some stress zones this year and made me VERY happy on NUMEROUS occasions as well! A Bird Word: I'm making America's Test Kitchen style herb roasted turkey this year and JUST got it into the oven. There was a semi crisis this morning when I realized that I needed about 3 cups of parsley for the darned thing. I ain't got no parsley growing! Ran to Wally World and they had NO parsley! HuH? Well, what's a girl to do? I came home and and decided to substitute the tips of my Red Opal basil and a few sprigs of the Thai basil that still looked decent. The Genovese is completely gone to seed now. I also added a few "green" onions that were planted a few days before Halloween. I picked up the thyme and rosemary as I wandered around and I just now realized that I flaked on the sage even though I have a pot on the front step. Oh well. People wonder how we eat so well with such a tiny income. I just smile and tell them how hard life is as a farmer.... Gotta go get the semmel rolls portioned, shaped, and rested for the oven...

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. We had a nice day here with a few family members. Hopefully, next yr I won't have to cook. I'll be holding a balloon in the Macy's Parade. Mom works there & said she will sign me up.

I think I might have to be a tad jealous of you next year Lynn. I hope you have a blast and give us a blow by blow. Maybe I'll be able to watch the parade on TV with hopes of seeing you! I haven't been able to watch the parade since becoming an adult!
