And speaking of pics Bunkie.....remember how I was ranting about my digi cam taking a dump on me?Well I put some batteries in it today just for the heck of it and the darn thing is working !!!!Now I get to rant cuz I did not get to take pics of the huge Cowlicks Brandywines I grew this year! I swear folks the darn things where no less than 2 pounds but I am certain that they where 3.Next Year there will be pics.Btw the growing mater pic on my blog is of one of them.Gotta have pics with all the cool stuff I am growing next year. I am so excited about all this cool stuff to plant.I am going to remember all the good folks that sent me seeds. It still has me in shock to find so many folks willing to help out considering how society is in the all for one and more for me mode.It is nice that so many in the garden community are not like that. You can bet I will pay forward the generosity shown to me. Kevin

Thank you Alan. Everyone here has been very kind since I started posting here. I hope to have some real nice seeds to share next fall when I am more on my feet so I can send things out.I would have had a few things this year but my health just did not let me. I want to be able to show the same generosity that members here and on other forums have shown me.

Thanks Penny. Still touch and go sometimes.Still have to be careful but I can do some house work and such as long as I pace myself and do not over do it. A few weeks ago I went to Wal Mart with my BIL and discovered I can not walk from the parking lot then from west door to east door and not have one of them electric carts. So if I go to a big store they have to have one of the carts for me to putter around in.
But with the garden I can get things done but take my breaks.May take longer to get things done than I wish to but it will get done. Can't help being excited about all the new to me things I will be growing next year.Should have lots of pics next year.

Yep your right on that Alan.During the season when I was feeling a bit low I would go out to the garden and relax do a bit of work in it pick a few things.Heck I even caught myself nearly asleep listening to the birds and wild turkey calls and seeing the bees going about their business.Very peaceful. Not to mention seeing frogs and toads looking for bugs. And taking pics to share with everyone. I think it helped a great deal with my recovery.
Now I will have many new things to try out.And my sisters and nieces kids will have their grape tomatoes they love so much to snack on. I really think there is nothing more enjoyable than sharing all this with family and friends. My Aunt and Uncle took their cue from me and planted a few maters this year so they could have their own.Since they are doing that I will grow a few plants for them next year so they can have some of the good old time tomatoes I have enjoyed. And I will be able to save seeds for the first time next year and share them with fellow gardeners.
