I love brassica greens and this fall has produced a bumper crop of big, succulent, tasty leaves. From bottom to Top: Chinese Cabbage, Leaf Broccoli, Kale and Mustard with my 6 year old's hand for scale. These were turned into a base for a savory pancake which my kids loved as they didn't taste too green. (They'll anything as long as it's outside and preferrably with dirt clinging to it. Bring it in, wash it and serve it cooked and they make faces.)

Awesome - good growing! I started them quite late, but have several fall greens growing here, too. (Add leeks and potatoes to the mix, and I can eat from the garden almost all winter.) Off the top of my head, I'm growing three or four types of spinach, two types of Swiss chard that are similar to spinach, two cabbages, Yellow Cabbage collards, collards I saved that may be crossed, kale I saved that may be crossed (the last two might be crossed with each other, but the leaves look different so far), Dwarf Siberian kale, Dwarf Blue Curled Scotch kale, fall rapini, and Komatsuna - a mild Japanese mustard. Hard to pick the tastiest, but I'd say it's a tie between the dwarf blue kale and the Komatsuna at this stage. There are also a few individual volunteers from other mustards and some colored Swiss chard, but not enough to eat from regularly.

They are looking good ,Telsing. How does the Red Flander kale tastes like ? Mine grow to 1.2m tall now ,but I still don't have a chance to eat them... got to eat up all cauliflowers and romanesco first.

Wonderul pic my friend. I too have been engaged in the brassica harvest the past few weeks. Was thinking about firing up the bar b q pit tonight and having some grilled rabbit and steamed greens, we did that a few weeks ago with squirrel instead of rabbit and it was fantastic.
