Ever since Poppy got traumatized at the vet's office, she won't let us touch her feet. And they need to be trimmed. We've tried several things already to get her to relax with no luck. We thought maybe a half can of beer would chill her out. She sucked it down like it was the Nectar of the Gods. lol Licked the empty bowl for 10 minutes. Unfortunately, it had no effect on her. I think we are gonna have to go for a whole can. Hey, it was a Genessee, not high ABV. I think she needs better beer.

Maybe try a Milwaukees (sp) best ice...lots of alchohol. We used it as stupid teenagers to get drunk and stupid. We got numb.

We drank Rolling Rock! The cheap one around here is the Milwaukkee's Best, or The Beast as it is known. lol
I have to figure out something with the the pig though. I will try the whole beer on saturday. But if that doesn't relax her, I'm not sure what to try next. Pigs are really sensitive to any type of sedatives or anesthetics. I have to be careful what I give her. The vet is over an hr away. And they are basically clueless about pigs.

Actually it will take at least a 6 pack of higher alcohol beer. Years ago farmer use to give them up a half gallon of the stuff.

We moved up to a better beer for the pig. lol Yesterday she had Ommegang's Three Philosophers. A nice quadruppel with 9.8 ABV. It has a strong flavor but she kept looking for more. She got pretty tipsy after about 16 oz. And we got some of her nails done. The beer seemed to wear off pretty quickly, and she started getting nasty and pushy. When the pig yells in your face, it's time to stop annoying her. lol
