Another recent implementation that Kim and I have added are two three chamber bathouses for pollination and insect control as well as guano collection. I'll post about them on the blog shortly, very well constructed and purchased from the organization for bat conservation, after seeing the design elements we are discussing building about five more of these ourselves to spread around the farm to encourage bat collinization. We feel that bats are probably just as important and underutilized as honey bees on a small farm and given the current plight of the Indiana brown bat that the houses are not only warranted but needed.
