Only god knows what they are, but they are darn cute! Over the past seven days I got three mother hens to hatch 12 eggs and there are still some eggs left, I even helped a few of the chicks escape the egg shells! It has been an absolutely great experience!

It really is exciting isn't it? They do get kind of ugly early, though. Are you having anymore trouble with the dog? I finally got my order from Sandhill for the Red Dorkings and, well, crap, can't remember the other right now. I had ordered Partridge Rocks, but they said that breed stopped laying when it got hot so they didn't have them available. They sent a credit for $30 for the ones I paid $22.50 for but didn't receive. You have to be willing to wait awhile when you order from them, but I think they are good people doing good things.

I guess you kind of take your chances with Sandhill. But they are a small operation. I do like that they have very strict rules for the poultry areas of their farm.

I'm up to 23 chicks now and there are four eggs still to go and a mother still setting! I am beyond happy!
