She started raising chickens last year. Now she has silkies, coo coo Marans, welsemers, cochins, serama's, salmon favorells, phoenix, new hampsher reds, and some more I can't remember. I just keep building pens! Is all I know. She is selling some eggs on ebay and eating eggs here around town and work. She can talk chickens with the best of them. Oh, and she has some genea's (don't know if its spelled right). And she has her eyes on some more. She also has two icubators that hold about 48 eggs each. And both are full. She just told me she has chicks sold too.

Shadowwalker - is she able to send them from state to state? I don't know the laws... you're in Tennessee, right? I am really trying to find some unusual breed pullets...

Salmon Faverolles are lovely birds, and Lav the children would get a blast out of Silkies. We just sold our silkies off. But they really are comical to watch and great little pets.
Shadowwalker, your wife has some good breeds there. It's good that she has a business established selling the chicks and hatching eggs. Sure helps pay for their feed and housing.

She is toying with the idea of selling chicks. She has started selling some of the eggs. On ebay and other sites. Alot of the chickens are not quite ready to start laying. But some are. She has got her start buying eggs off the internet and locally. It's cheaper that way, she says. I will try to post where she looks for them at.
