Spent the past few days working to get the greenhouse ready for this winter, extending the heating duct work, replacing door plastic, setting up the new table configuration, potting up 75 tomato plants and getting them in their places, mixing up bone meal, blood meal, vermicompost, lime and some other organic ingredients and some raised bed colored carrot experiments as well as clean up the "catch all" that is the our barn and doing some much needed worm house work.

Alan, are you potting tomato plants that have been in the ground to extend their season? Or are they new seedlings that will mature over the winter in the greenhouse?

New seedlings, about 8 weeks old or so, potting up for this winter. All are Celebrity hybrid, in five gallon nursery containers with a "soilless" mix that I made myself which includes:
spahgnum moss vermiculite pearlite bone meal blood meal lime wood ash and Vermicompost
I'll try to get Kim to take some pics when she gets a chance and post them up here every once in a while to show progress and my set up.

That would be fabulous. We are thinking of moving the glass house, which was originally meant as a greenhouse but somehow ended up being used to house chickens and turkey poults. I think it's time that I had a building to overwinter greens at least. I'll let you know how this plays out, lol
