Most of the time I give away excess wax that I don't use while working with bees.

This year I gave away about 70 lbs to a local 4-H class teacher.

Heya rena I've made soap too! Cold process soap that is.

Beeswax is a super ingredient for soap and salves. I made a skin salve this past year for myself with lavender, chamomile, calendula all infused in a bit of olive oil and lard and added a pinch of pre-cleaned beeswax chips that I ordered a long time ago. But the pure wax smells so much nicer.

And it's great in lip balm too.

Funnily enough-talking about wax, a bizarre chap over here in the UK, decided he was going to save all his personal ear wax for a year in a little pot, he was on television about it, and the little pot was almost half full then, when someone asked what he was going to do with it eventually- he simply said -polish his dining room table with it-"yuk"
