I did not know where to post this so I decided the bee keeping section was the best spot. ( move it if it needs to be moved)
I was unloading the produce van today and there was a little bee on the floor. It had had a rough day and probably wont make it through the night. So my daughter and I, She is almost 4 and has a heart as large as some big states like Texas. Anyway, she said "mama can we save it?" I didn't think that it was savable so we scooped it up with a fallen leaf and my daughter wanted to put in on a flower to it could die happy.
She plucked a flower from the pathetic flower bed. Then she very gently tipped the bee that was on the leaf in the center of the flower so it could die with pollen.
Needless to say when she had walked away, I believe to go swing, I welled up with tears and thanked my lucky life that I have such a neat kid.
And she loves bees too.

You certainly seem to be raising her right. That is a great story to start my day.

Thanks, for sharing, Peapod. Stories like the one you shared, make my day and remind me that in "small" patches the world isn't going to H**l in a handbasket.

Great story. Someone could write a poem for the ages out of that little 30 seconds of life I think.
