Can't remember what all I had other than lions main and pearl oyester types but I inoculated several logs today in hopes of a good crop. I had about 200 rods and am looking forward with great anticipation the culmination of this project, which with any success will continlue to expand and cover the remainer of our wooded lot!

Alan, if you are going all the way like that, go check the bavicci site. They have 3 or 4 EXCELLENT varieties of shrooms that use moisten straw as a medium, this can be done both outside and inside, and also other ones with some bulk inoculator for whole logs, actually wood piles, that can last 3-5 years, but you should be able to make it permanent. And at a price no friggin wood plugs can beat, actually quite very very far from it. I will have to start mine, now that I have a restaurant to...feed I never tried them, but I have a TOTAL confidence in this most excellent supplier. I know I told you that before, but now that it is a reality for you, it is taking another dimension, not just ideas floating in the wind...

I've still got two sheets of thimble spawn in my fridge. I have to get them into something.
