Paw Paw aught to grow here. I suspect it was taken out by burning in the 18-20 century during field clearing.
Seed should be collected from ripe fruit and alowed to rot with seed inside, (refridgerate till planting) only clean ansd scarify seed just before planting. This is seed is dead once fully dried.
Seedlings should be grown ina shade house for the first couple years. In very fast draining soil.
Even if you never eat the fruit of this northernmost of the custard apple family aught to be a good mast tree for hunters.
