Now is the time to order stratified ginseng seed before it starts to sell out. I have ordered in the past from three seperate vendors and in my honest opinion you will not find one anymore reliable or trustworthy than www.gotginseng.com , when you order from them you get great service, teriffic seed, and best planting instructions, I just ordered 2 lbs for this year (last year it was five and I was running out of places to seed. Definetly check them out if you are interested in raising green gold!

What is the recommended spacing for ginseng seeds, so I would have an idea how many to get? And thank you for recommending a reputable source!

Spacing is about as wide as the hand throws them......

I bought smaller quantities last year from Horizon Herbs. Planted them in pots like I do everything else, one packet was more than I needed for ornamental purposes. Don't tell Alan that I left ginseng seeds sitting out in the greenhouse. He might not think I am worthy to share any more plants or seeds with. I don't remember how much the seed costs, and they don't have it listed in their print catalog, it will be on the web site for fall at www.horizonherbs.com
