I got out doing a little More hunting today (still a bit early, I know) nd got 'round to doing a little investigating of my Ginseng gardens. My seed is all sprouting now! Yay! Each seed had about a half inch sprout protruding from it's shell, that makes me happy! -Alan

LOL! Maybe on friday or tomorrow if I come over early enough you can take me out to see them...I'm off both days, but tomorrow I gotta go buy mom's birthday present in the morning.

How did you get you patch started? Is it wild or cultivated? Where did you get the seeds if it's cultivated?
Thanks for the info! Jeannine

it is "woodsgrown" cultivated, which means basically that it is planted and left alone untill harvest so that it grows basically "wild", I also planted it in with a huge patch of wild ginseng so that it would be as close as possible to the conditions of the wild ginseng. I bought my seed from a place called Best American Ginseng which is really curtious and has the best prices around, I reccomend them to anybody interested in growing ginseng.

My Ginseng seed survived the winter and Is now up and aboe the leaves! They are quite beautiful little seedlings, but then again for me this is preservation and investment, it's like watching money grow from the ground. -alan
