Wow, I can't believe that they would all sit there and get along well enough to eat at the same time. We never have that many all at once. Looks like it would cost a fortune to feed that many.

I love hummers, those are great pictures! It'll be a while yet before I see any around here. I've never seen that many together either.

That is a lot of birds!
I had one the other day, I found it laying on a metal box next to the house. I'm not sure if I knocked it out of a bush next to it, or if the cats had caught it. It was all fluffed up, and had its legs drawn up. I thought it was dead, at least injured. I brought it in the house and put it on a sock and covered it up. I worked outside the rest of the day. When I came back in later it was gone out of the sock! I sat on the couch real quiet and watched for it, I looked everywhere I could think it might be. I found it the next day on one of the overhead beams in the living room, it was dead. I felt bad for it.

Well, they made a liar out of me. The same day I posted my reply, I saw my first hummer at the feeder. Had to run inside and fill it up, as it hadn't been filled since last fall, wasn't expecting them yet. Seen a few every day since. Yay!
