Here are my trades for this year. Please note that while I make an attempt to separate tomatoes, they are not grown at accepted isolation distances. There is an outside chance of crossing. The gourds and squashes are not crossed. The OP cherry tomatoes in the 2 dozen category are from plants grown from Wintersown seed. This offering is a MIX. I recieved it as such, and grew it as such. They are very tasty, and are all at the large end of the cherry spectrum, not teeny toms. The frilled pink poppy has no name... it is a small flower, not a big showy poppy. Think field poppy, but pink and frilled instead of red and rounded.

All toms are fermented seed. The Bloomsdale spinach is not my saved seed, but local seed that I had left over, packaged for this year. Should be fine. (grew well for me!)

lavandulagirl i Google and could not find anything on Novogoshary Tomato and i have never heard of it before . So what is it?

I may have typed too fast... it's Novogogoshary (missed an entire 'go'! - come to think of it, I may have labelled them without the second 'go' as well... oops!)

It's a stuffing tomato. Thick walled, holds it's shape... we found them tasty. I got the seeds originally from Wintersown, and grew them out this year. They had their biggest flower/fruitset at a different time than the other tomatoes (earlier, in my garden) so the chance of crossing is low. They look a little like a small red bell pepper when mature, which took about 75 days here.

By the way... I have heard rumors of a blue/black tomato called P20 Blue Tomato, possibly from one of the OSU schools? A cross with a wild Peruvian plant, with cherry sized toms. Do any of you guys have that, because it sounds like something I would love to try. Supposed to have a licorice hint in the taste, of all things. (So Blue won't want any! )

Now Black Hungarian peppers! There's one worth having. Just don't touch any body parts after handling, breathing or thinking about those seeds, LOLOL.

P-20 is from Jim Meyers breeding program out at OSU, to my knowledge it is not available, though I do know that a certain crafty "know it all" plant salesman over at tomatoville managed to get his hands on some through a material transfer agreement along with $20. You might see if you can find Jim Meyers e-mail address and ask him about availabilyt and a material transfer agreement and he might be able to get some out to you. The blue coloration is only on the side of the fruit which is exposed to the sun and only runs to the depth of the perricap, the inside of the fruit is red like a normal tomao, however the tomato itself is high in Anthycyanin. The taste, so I have heard, is somewhere close to ink from a pen, however there was so discussion of breeding P-20 with sungold and brandywine and there are definetly some conversations about what can be done to improve taste for release of this cultivar for home gardeners, as it stands right now though, P-20 is Jims baby.

Pen ink, huh? I guess I may pass, then. Gotta wonder, though, about the guy who chose that as the comparable taste sensation... weird.

LOL, I agree. Don't get me wrong, this tomato has merits considering the high anthocyanin content, as long as you can nail down the taste in breeding experiments. I have a primitive, early, unimproved version of P-20 that I have yet to grow out (10 seeds maybe) that I am highly considering breeding to Double Rich or Trimson, or Caro rich, maybe all of the mentioned looking for High Lycopene, Beta Carotine, and Anthocyanin, but i've got to find the taste to make it worthwhile to, maybe I'll add this to the list for next year, if so I'll send you some F1 seed next fall!
